Breathwork
What is Breathwork?
Rebirthing breathwork, as developed by Leonard Orr, is a technique that involves a specific pattern of conscious, connected breathing. Orr described it as a powerful method for personal transformation and healing. The key aspects of rebirthing breathwork according to Leonard Orr include:
Conscious Connected Breathing: This involves continuous, deep, and rhythmic breathing without pauses between the inhale and exhale. The aim is to create a relaxed, meditative state.
Release of Suppressed Emotions: The practice is believed to help release repressed emotions and traumas stored in the body, facilitating emotional healing and integration.
Accessing the Subconscious Mind: By altering the breathing pattern, rebirthing breathwork is thought to help individuals access and clear subconscious thoughts and beliefs that may be limiting or negative.
Spiritual Awakening: Orr viewed this practice as a spiritual tool that could lead to greater self-awareness, spiritual insight, and a sense of connection to a higher power or the universe.
Physical and Mental Well-being: Practitioners often report improvements in their physical health, mental clarity, and overall sense of well-being as a result of regular practice.

Sessions
Breathwork is most effective when does in a container of consistency. Whilst one-off sessions can be beneficial, rebirthing offers it most potent transformative benefits when done consistently and closely timed together. Best practice recommends doing 8-10 sessions spaced weekly or fortnightly apart in order to create momentum but to also leave time for integration.
